Perception Responds
Ah, don’t you just love it when the biggest news around a new game in development is the current legal actions underway and bickerings between developers and publishers. I guess it re-enforces the notion that in the end it’s all just business.
Anyway, if you weren’t already aware Perception PTY LTD, developers of Stargate SG-1: The Alliance, have responded to JoWood’s press release last weekend announcing termination of their contract with the company. The press release can be found here.
Sydney, Australia, 12th of August, 2005; Perception Pty Ltd would like to rectify certain statements that have been made to the press by JoWooD Productions. To be clear, Perception is the official licensee of MGM on Stargate SG-1: The Alliance. Any suggestion that JoWooD has rights to Stargate SG-1: The Alliance upon termination of the contract is incorrect and not based on commercial or legal fact.
In related news there is an interview with Viljar the Lead Designer on SG-1: The Alliance at The5thRace.net and includes some new screenies.

Nicely worded statement, Perception!
Shows maturity that a 5th string publisher hasn’t shown to date.
Rob, your spelling is worse that Cooper’s!
