Grimoire Preview

Corwin over at RPGDot has taken a look at a new Beta version of Grimoire, currently in production by Gold Coast independent developers Cleve Blakemore and Michael Shamgar. Long-awaited Grimoire is finally nearing completion, and promises to be an old-skool style PC RPG - heavily influenced by previous popular titles like Wizardy and Eye of the Beholder. Cleve also appears to be a keen survivalist, preparing for the total nuclear destruction of the Gold Coast hinterland.

They were very popular then and would still be as popular today if we didn’t keep dumbing them down trying to appeal to people who can’t rise above the intellectual level needed to play console games.

Amen, brother. Amen. Mind you the console games are catching up.
