Asset Manager
Pandemic Studios is looking to add to the art team who bring our technology to life. We want someone who will diligently configure, check and integrate assets into our game.
Mandatory Attributes
- Experience with writing text configuration files
- Experience with Visual Sourcesafe
- Experience with managing Excel spreadsheets
- Thorough and reliable and technically-minded
- Good communicator and independent worker
- Basic knowledge of 3DS Max a bonus
Preferred Attributes
- Past experience in the games industry
- Proven ability to take direction and work harmoniously within a team environment
- Current generation game development experience (GameCube, Xbox, and/or PS2)
Gameplay Programmer
We’re looking to add to our team of programmers in creating the technology that underlies great console games.
Required Skills:
- A completed graphical/interactive title, a game demo, or a distinguished academic course list in relevant disciplines.
- Experience with NPC programming in a 3d environment.
- Strong C++ skills.
- Good oral communication.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of 1 completed game project.
- 2+ years of game programming experience.
- Experience with cross-platform development.
- Advanced animation, processing, rendering or sequencing.
Junior 3D Artist (modeler/texturer)
Pandemic Studios is looking to add to the art team who bring our technology to life. We want someone with demonstrated enthusiasm and talent to break into art production in the games industry.
Mandatory Attributes
- High level of artistic ability
- Strong sense of colour and design
- Experience with 3DS Max
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other paint software (illustration and photo-manipulation)
- Preferably experience with building ingame assets
- Balance of technical and artistic competency
- Enthusiastic and thorough
Proven ability in:
- creating high quality low poly 3D models following exact specifications
- applying 2d textures to geometry
- creating original, convincing textures for models
Preferred Attributes
- Past experience in the games industry
- Proven ability to take direction and work harmoniously within a team environment
- Knowledge of tri-stripping methods
- Current generation game development experience (GameCube, Xbox, and/or PS2)
- Animation experience
- Qualification (preferably degree) in a design discipline
- A traditional art background
Junior Programmer
We’re looking to add two people to our team of programmers in creating the technology that underlies great console games.
Required Skills:
- A completed game demo, or a distinguished academic course list in relevant disciplines.
- Good C++ skills.
- Good oral communication.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.
Systems Administrator
You would be reporting to the Company Director and be solely responsible for all aspects of administering a network of 40 people or more. The environment is a creative area of the IT industry.
On a day to day basis, you will be working under Senior Management to ensure the company operates as smoothly as possible. You will be required to identify and resolve problems that may be outside your experience in a timely and effective fashion. Most importantly you must demonstrate strong organisation and communication skills with a dedication to seeing the job through. A sense of humour is a must in this company.
Network Administration
- Windows 2000 Networking experience
- TCP/IP fundamentals, firewalling
- Experience with Unix Internet services (DHCP, Apache)
- Maintenance of the company intranet and associated script based applications
Experience with:
- PHP
- MySQL
- Perl
Mail Administration
- Exchange 2000 experience
- Email fundamentals
- Qmail very useful
Technical Support
- Diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Selection and ordering of hardware and software and stocking of spares.
- Maintaining hardware/software asset register.
Track Record
Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking someone of good character with solid references.
PS2 Programmer
We’re looking to add to our team of programmers in creating the technology that underlies great console games.
Required Skills:
- Strong PS2 and VU1 experience.
- A completed graphical/interactive title, a game demo, or a distinguished academic course list in relevant disciplines.
- Proficient in MIPS and VU assembly
- Proficient in C/C++.
- Good oral communication.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of 1 completed game project.
- 2+ years of game programming experience.
- Experience with cross-platform development.
