What about XP Source Code that has not been mentioned? Perhaps they dare not mention that in case a lot users return their software under the copyright act.

Biggles, what on earth does that mean? Why would users return their software??!

Good question why get stuck with a OS that has so many flaws in it when you can go back to ME or change platforms and go over to Linux. I have been using XP since its release and found that most of the problems stem from microsofts policy on software intergration. I have stopped using Outlook Express and switched to Mozilla , and guess what happened no more spyware or trojans on my system. And yes I do have a antivirus running in the background along with XP’s crappy firewall .

While that’s no doubt true, what does it have to do with users who "return their software under the copyright act"?

When was the last time you went into a department store to return software or music CD’s? Any NORMAL person who buys software should know what I am talking about.

Or another words what do you have to prove in order to get a refund under the copyright act………? Think wisely and you should now have the answer.

Biggles, you’re still not making any sense. We’d love to hear exactly what part of ‘the copyright act’ pertains to the return of software and music CD’s to a department store. Please enlighten us!

Biggles, I too have been using XP Since its release (well, actually, release candiate 3).. and I have never had a problem with it. I have no viruses, no trojens, no popups, no spyware etc..

It’s all about being carefull what you do on the net. Linux is no more secure out of the box (except where it comes to viruses).. you really do have to have a decent knowledge about any OS to make it secure these days.

Oh, and feel free to let us all know what part of the copyright act allows us to return software if a virus/hack is created from the source code =).
