Secret Service And Eyecon Hiring

I thought the boys from Eyecon had taken a sabbatical from game development after Gore and settled into web programming for a while, but it turns out they have been quietly getting on with business. Eyecon has continued their collaboration with 4DRulers and Slam Software, to produce their second FPS Secret Service: Security Breach - a game they claim is “the first ever to ship with real time per pixel lighting, shadows, bump mapping, and specular lighting”. Based on their AMP 2 engine, Service went gold last month and is being published by Activision. Screen shots that have made it onto the web look pretty tasty. An older tech demo of the AMP 2 engine is available here.

Where aaaaaare youuuu...

Eyecon director Scott Murray told me they are launching back into games development with a demo/prototype they will be showing to publishers at this month’s AGDC, and in the US next month. As a result they are looking for a new Texture Artist to work with the AMP 2 engine. The position is a short term contract with the possibility of full time employment. Applications should contain a resume and a link to an online portfolio, but no attached images or video files. Send applications to brent@eyecon.com.au.
