WoW Quests
Blizzard have updated their World of Warcraft site with new information on the questing system. There are, unfortunately, the usual “Bring 10 Scarlet Insignia Rings to Deathguard Burgess in Brill” style tasks, but also seem to be some cool additional elements such as multiple reward choices, and “single-step quests for busy people without a lot of time to play, and large, multi-part quests that build to epic conclusions”. The developer I spoke to at E3 this year promised quests in WoW would be much more than the usual kill and retrieve tasks that have been testing the patience of RPG players for years now. It is one of the things I am most looking forward to in the game, and I hope they don’t draw back from making it one of WoW’s definitive features.
