Ultima X Online
The Grandaddy of MMORPGs, Ultima Online, is about to spawn a sequel of sorts. While not being a direct continuation of UO, Ultima X is a fully 3D sister title based upon the Ultima world. I’m a little dubious of any Ultima product now it’s creator and protector Richard Garriott has moved on to other fields, but the game’s newly opened website does put an interesting spin on things. The questing system in particular sounds good, and the screenshots aren’t bad. Don’t download the video though. The CG is of standard, but the gameplay shots look pretty bad and are presumably from a very early build. I sure hope so, anyway.
