AMP2 Engine Tech Demo

Eyecon’s Barry Bachelor of Gore fame emailed me recently about a tech demo released by the boys from Slam Software - who also helped make Gore with 4DRulers. The demo shows off Slam’s AMP2 engine which aims to offer an alternative game development system for modders and developers. The engine is a real-time 3D corridor renderer, with per-pixel lighting, bump mapping, stencil shadows, projection textures, as well as a full skeletal animation system and advanced particle system. You can read more about the demo, and download it from Ausgamers. Follow the instructions onscreen once you load it (change the resolution and restart to increase the detail) and walk around the test level. There’s some nice lighting/bump mapping going on particularly. Oh, and don’t forget to look at your feet.
