PS3 Guessed From US Patent
The next generation of Playstation will run at 4GHz and could produce as much as a teraflop of processing power if the details of a US Patent filed by Sony last year are accurate. The Inquirer, quoting a source close to Sony, said the patent made it “patently clear” what the structure of the PS3 would be - similar to the PS2, but with larger video processing units and more memory. Not surprisingly to anyone who has worked with them, the console would remain difficult to progam.
