Myst Online

I have no idea how they are going to do it, but UbiSoft today announced a massively multiplayer online version of their best selling graphic adventure Myst. Uru: Online Ages Beyond MYST has been in development for five years, and will provide continually updated content and real time voice communication. Players will be able to “customize their level of interaction with other players, choosing to play alone, with small groups of friends or in areas where they can meet new people. Playing their own avatars, hundreds of thousands of players will meet new people, all realistic impersonations of themselves, play games, solve mysteries and embark on a voyage of discovery with friends.” If the amazing screenshots are anything to go by it could be worth a serious look. The game is slated to ship at the end of the year, while a closed beta begins this month.
