Perhaps each member of Big Kid should rank the games they BOUGHT this year from 100 to 1.. Geez I bought one ever 2 weeks or so.. And some of them were stinkers, some where surprises and some where just what I wanted.

Just a suggestion I was thinking of compiling an article over the coming weeks and posting it on Australia Day.

Anyone else wanting to do the same thing??

I might as well get the ball rolling. I've stuck to games I played for more than a rental period which usually weeds out the shitty games, hence the mostly high scores (and the huge grin on my dial).

PS2
Loved:
Metal Gear 2 10/10 (if you press the triangle button a lot)
Jak and Daxter 9/10
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger- I played a fair bit of this one ;) 9/10
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 8/10
Red Faction II 7.5/10
Medal of Honor Frontline 7/10
Gitaroo Man 7.5/10
Mark of Kri 8.5/10
Space Channel 5 pt 2 8.5/10
Ratchet and Clank 7/10
Airblade 8/10
Sly Cooper and the Thieveius Racoonus 8.5/10 will be released as Sly Racoon in Australia)
Devil May Cry 6/10
Grand Theft Auto III 6/10
Bond Agent Under Fire 5/10

Xbox-
Halo 9.5/10
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 9/10 (Played a lot of this version too!)
Tony Hawk 4 10/10
Splinter Cell 9/10
Pirates 8/10
Agressive Inline 8.5/10
Max Payne 7/10
Spiderman 6.5/10
Buffy- 8/10
Jet Set Radio Future 8/10
Crazy Taxi 4 6.5/10
Mat Hoffman BMX 2 6/10
Blinx 7/10

GameCube
Luigi's Mansion 9/10
Rogue Leader 8/10
Super Mario Sunshine 8.5/10
Star Fox Adventures 8/10

PC
Wolfenstein 7.5/10
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault 9/10
Jedi Knight II: 7/10
Sum of All Fears: 8/10
Mafia 7/10

Couldn't be arsed playing for more than 10 minutes: Super Monkey Ball, Sonic 2. Kelly Slater, Giants,
Hunter the Reckoning, Prisoner of War,

Totally agree with Metal Gear Solid 2, that was the highlight for mine. Not sure if it was released last year but Ico was also a gem.

Played plenty of good solid games on PC like Jedi Knight, Mafia, Wolfenstein, MOH, GP4, but nothing i'd really compare to classics like Deus Ex, Op Flashpoint etc.

Should mention Morrowind which I was blown away by at first and poured a stack of time into. Just a pity it was ultimately flawed by being too easy for any reasonably advanced character.
