Australia Not Good Enough for AC2?!
According to Microsoft and Turbine Entertainment, we in Australia will not be able to play Asheron’s Call 2… for the moment anyway. Their “new improved” billing system allows credit cards from only nine countries to be used to pay for AC2 accounts: USA, Canada, Japan, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands. All other countries are currently being evaluated, gamers will not be allowed online until at least the official launch of the game in that country. We could be waiting a long time, if we even get it!
So for those of you who have ordered your copy from the net, you will sadly not even be able to play it… *sigh*

yeah…well, at the cost of US$49.95 and monthly rate of ??? (you know how hard it is to find this out…I checked alot of sites and still no cheer), I don’t think it would even be worth considering if we could play it without a local server presence. Sorry I hate Australia being the mule always being behind the pack in MMORPGs(and broadband…different matter but we all hate Alston and Telstra, don’t we?). I did DAOC for about 6 months and decided that the US$ monthly fee was wasted for my sporadic playing. For that amount, I can buy a new game a month and have just as much fun and STILL have a life…
Levelling = no life outside the game…same old, same old in this game, anyway…
