Free PS2 Devkits
The front page of the Australian IT section today has a story about free PS2 dev kits for developers. A deal between the Game Developers’ Association of Australia, Sony, and the Victorian Government has made a number of kits available to small startup developers who would otherwise be unable to afford the $20k kits. From the GDAA site it appears this is old news, but the article does mention the possibility of this being extended Australia wide, so if you’ve got that one killer game idea, it may be worth following up.
