Unreal Updates

You want the good news or the bad news first? Ok, the good news is that not long after Epic released their subliminal UT 2003 demo, the full game has gone gold.

The bad news is that Unreal 2, the single-player only follow up to the classic Unreal has been pushed back beyond Christmas into a Q1 2003 release. No reason has been offered for the delay.

Hey splash, not that I want to be a grammar nazi, but I think the word you wanted was sublime, not subliminal. Unless you were meaning to infer that UT2003 gets into your subconscious, which is fair enough.

I think I meant seminal, but it hasn’t really been out long enough to be that…never mind, I was being clever and meant subliminal after all…

There’s some pretty interesting stuff shipping with UT2003:

UPaint - a 3D painting application that lets you paint directly on the games’ characters in 3D and also provides face projection which allows you to paste your face over the game’s characters
This could get ugly :-)
