BMXXX
If it wasn’t August, this would have to be an April Fools. According to this Gamespot story, Acclaim are releasing a game called BMX XXX, which they are boasting as the first “M-rated action sports game”. What that means is there is swearing, FMV strippers, and topless riders in the game. It’s worse than it sounds - one of the features is a rider designer:
“This is also the mode that lets you create a topless female rider. You’ll even be able to control breast size with a slider”This is very sad, and incredibly gratuitous. The game used to have Dave Mirra’s name associated with it, but no longer - hopefully he pulled his approval due to the dodgy nature of the game itself. The recent Australian censorship review is looking at R ratings for gaming, but if this is the kind of dross that will be the result, we’d be better off without it.
