AFL 2003 Screenshots

Seems that EA have dropped the ball as far as Aussie Rules goes. Acclaim and Melbourne developer IR Gurus have picked up the ball and are delivering a fully licensed product. The game features all the 2002 team line ups and has been made under the watchfull eye of Kevin Sheedy. The game also features commentary from Gary Lyons and Steve Quartermain (of “The Panel” fame) and is playable by up to 4 people at once. The game will be released on PS2, GCN, XBOX and PC at the end of August.

What’s the go with saying that Steve Quartermain is ‘of “The Panel” fame’? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?

I take it you’re from Melbourne? Steve Quartermain’s only profile outside of Melbourne/AFL Fandom, is as the sports reporter on The Panel.

No offense to Steve, he seems good and he did tell Jean Claude Van Dam to #$%& off or he’d belt him.

But the fact remains he’s a Melbourne Celeb (for want of a better term) not Australian.

;)

But I think the more important issue is… We’re getting a fully licensed AFL title. ;)

I know he is now the voice of AFL.. Most people are still getting over the fact that there is no more “Bruce” telling us how special the game is.

Sorry for sounding ridiculous though.
