America’s Army
This is getting a bit too freaky. The actual US Army are developing a game called America’s Army, which proposes to bring some reality to the market:
The U.S. Army today unveiled America’s Army, an innovative, realistic computer game providing civilians with an inside perspective and a virtual role in today’s premiere land force, the U.S. Army.“Premiere land force” ? Sounds like it’s some kind of competition - which is why the game, which incorporates an FPS and a strategy component, sounds a bit scarey. I mean, these guys job is often to actually kill people. It’s apparently going to be a free download, though I doubt they’ll be sending copies to anyone in the *cough* Axis of Evil. Penny-Arcade have their usual wry look at it.
