Has anyone here actually played Obi Wan before they pronounce it a bad game?
I did and enjoyed it. A simple hack and Slash to be sure (but then so was Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance). The control is pretty well done using the big mac controller and the sound and visuals are very good to excellent.
I look forward to comparing the two on one system at Christmas (hopefully). Especially after Edge magazine gave Jedi Knight II 4 out of 10

It’s all in the eye(s) of the beholder

;)

Well, I thought it was terrible on all fronts. Mind you, I’d also tend to agree with Edge on the 4/10 for Jedi Outcast (JK2), though booker quite liked it so go figure…I will say multiplayer was a great deal of fun, not sure they’ll be able to hand it as well on the consoles though.

Comparing BG:DA to Obi Wan though is a bit much. Sure, the game dynamic may have been similar, but Dark Alliance was executed with much higher production values and solid gameplay, whereas Obi Wan felt like nobody really gave a damn.

But as booker said, it is in the eye of the beholder, and if you enjoyed it then someobdy’s couple years of hard work paid off, and a developer really can’t ask for much more than that.

Personal feelings Obi Wan 7/10, BG 8/10, Rogue Leader 9/10. Absolutism aside. I stand by my original comments. :)
Sometime you just have to make your own mind up. Point is, not everyone does these days.

Now get back to work you two!

That’s the pot calling the kettle black arse!

;)
