New Poll!
Big thanks for the show of support from eight of you who decided that the Xbox was worthy only to add to the stack of consoles that the Dreamcast rested atop. This is going to be the first E3 since ever that didn’t show off software running on a Sega-branded machine. A moment of silence if you will…
Not to be defeated however, Sega recently scooped the Edge magazine awards, the most notable title in their collection was ‘Publisher of the Year’, and with a catalogue over the last twelve months of Rez, Jet Set Radio Future and Super Monkey Ball just to name a few, there’s no real question why.
The usual quiet, closed-mouth lead up to the big dance is almost over, and its place will soon arive a tsunami of information announcing the arrival of the next thing that will re-define the way we play games. Personally, I’m just hanging out for the announcements from people who understand that we haven’t got a handle on how we already play games, and exactly what they’re going to do about it.
Bring on then, new titles from Sega, Nintendo and anyone Mr. Molyneaux is associated with. Maybe the rest will start to take a few cues and attempt to lift their game, rather than their revenue stream.
