Download Dungeon Siege!
Those who’ve been sitting on the fence where Gas Powered Games’ hack’n’slash title is concerned can now download a trial version of the game. Consisting of 10% of the finished product, the trial version is said to contain 3 - 5 hours of gameplay; enough to give you a pretty good idea of what the final version has in store for eager adventurers.

Yeah, multiply the demo by a factor of 20 in boredom and repetition and you’ve got the final game.
Shallow, linear and boring. Sure it’s got an awesome (if overly hungry) engine, beautiful graphics and great atmospheric effects and sounds, but a good engine doesn’t make a good game.
The single player story consists of “Hello, please go to this town and tell this person something”. “Hello thanks for telling me that, please go to the next town and tell the next person something else”. Repeat until eyes bleed or forehead has keys pressed into it.
And if you get some side quests, don’t worry, you’ll automatically complete them by walking from town to town in the straight line provided.
It’ll appeal to fans of the Diablo series (I liked I not II). Though anyone who’s over kill loot sell repeat will want to shy away from this game.
As you can tell, I didn’t like it. Good ideas, great engine, poor execution, IMHO.
I’m glad I won it.
