ToonTown has arrived!

I saw over on QGL today that the Disneys FREE MMORPG ToonTown is now playable. As I was fairly bored this morning I decided to give it a go. The installation took about 5 minutes or so (I have cable) and for those without cable it will probably take 10-20 minutes so don’t worry about it taking about a day to install. This game is FUN and it’s consumed most of my morning, the servers are pretty packed at the moment and it’s starting to run a tad slower also the game has crashed about 2 times as well. It’s not EQ or DAOC, but it’s FREE FREE FREE! So if you’re bored like I was this morning give it a go.

Bit off topic, but speaking of DAOC, has anyone else had a chance to give it a go yet? Any more impressions from an aussie perspective, like lag etc? I’m looking for something a little different, but I’m on dialup, so without some reassurance on the lag part at least, I doubt I’ll give it a go.

I don’t have it but one of my friends does. He says it’s BRILLIANT and lag is a not an issue. If you’re thinking of buyinga MMORPG I think DAOC is the one to get.

Its sad that this is about the only MMORPG around that I don’t have lag problems with….

I can see Disney bringing in some guidelines for names soon… can’t think they’re happy having people called FUKU and Tight Resticle in the game :)
