The GIA, hardcore Japan-o-gamers gave it 5/5 in their review, calling it “a masterpiece within the series and within the genre” and claiming “Final Fantasy X is one of the finest games to bear the name, and may represent an even greater evolution than the switch from the SNES to the PSone”.
