V8 Supercar Realism

Codemasters, the developers of V8 Supercars Race Driver, have released a couple of images showing off the level of realism they are going for in this upcoming racing game for XBox, PS2 and PC.

Both of the images below show an ingame image next to its real life counterpart:

Codemasters’ V8 Supercars Race Driver is set to launch in June 2002 with officially licensed tracks, cars and locations authentically modelled. Tracks featured in the game include Bathurst, Adelaide, Canberra, Philip Island, Eastern Creek, Sandown and Oran Park.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be an official website for the game as yet.

WoOt! … that sure looks good, look out EA (V8 Challenge)!!

It does look good (standing still)
I hope there is more attention to team management
for over all success, more than just buying new cars and
twiddling with their setups.(gt).
i hope there is damage on the vehicles.

I hope the office of blah blah blah won’t ban it for
excessive speeding in race cars, its a bad influence
on the kiddies.

something else… the website says PS2, XBox and DVD-ROM…

couldn’t see PC-CD mentioned anywhere…

I’ve got most of the EA Sports titles and not one has let me down yet. Go V8 Challenge!

Coolest THING

EA is making a competitor game that looks just as cool.

It is called V8 Challenge

speedracer–EA hmmm… they may be good at ball sports but I have yet to see them deliver on a motor sport game. If the last version of superbike is any thing to go on I’ll wait till codemarsters release theirs!

V8 Challenge is an execellent game and with more skins and other stuff coming out each week it can only get heaps better and its online play is second to none. Well done EAsports and keep the good work up.
