SoL Min Spec Raised
Makers of EverQuest, Verant, have increased the minumum specifications of the hardware necessary to run their imminent expansion Shadows of Luclin only weeks before its release. Players will have the option to turn enhanced graphics features on or off, but those wanting to see all new high detailed textures and character models will need a minimum 256MB RAM and a P2-400. While EQ forums have filled with some negative reaction to the move, which Verant announced in a recent patch message, the new spec is still significantly below that required to play rival title Dark Age of Camelot.
