GCN Countdown - T minus 7- Gameboy Advance connectivity
Now before you read any further I must stress that the Gamecube countdown only applies for the US readers or any readers that are importing a Gamecube.
It was an incredibly smart business decision to include some kind of connectivity between the Gameboy Advance and the Gamecube. It may be a business decision for Nintendo but for gamers it actually means something quite interesting.
Connecting to the Cube (IGN)
This feature is particularly interesting for Role Playing Games, imagine being able to play Dragon Warrior 4 on the Gamecube and instead of going into your inventory in the game you could simply glance downwards at the GBA and receive all your vital information there. Or perhaps you might have to go off to work but you still want to keep playing, so you could transfer your game data over to the GBA and continue to play on your way to and from work. When you get back home you transfer the data back to the GCN and continue playing….Brilliant!
As Nintendo has mentioned before the possibilities are endless. Here is a picture of the connection device.

I imagine that it will take a while for games to come out that will actually use the GBA - GCN connectivity to improve gameplay, instead of using it as a cheap gimmick. I can wait a few years, I just hope its worth it.
