Xbox Launch Delayed 1 Week

So here’s what happened: Microsoft sent out a press release which casually stated that they were ready for their launch of the 15th of November.

This flew with nobody.

This release also came just five weeks after MS had rigorously denied that the Xbox would suffer any delays in the US. This announcement comes just a day after it was learned that Microsoft’s launch day total could be up to half (around 300,000 units) of what it originally planned (600,000 - 800,000).

Meanwhile, Peter Main, Nintendo’s senior vice-president of marketing has said that he received calls from major retailers asking if they could up their shipments of the GameCube, which launches just a few days later on the 18th, to “make up for somebody else’s problems.”

Fun and games people.

Fun. And. Games.
