MCO goes into subscription mode!!
Until now “Motorcity Online” was thought to be a free online game (as long as you paid for the game). Now there is going to be a monthly subscription. Below is what is now reads on the MCO FAQ
Will there be a monthly fee, and how much is it?
Motor City Online will have a monthly subscription fee through EA.com (the fee is yet to be determined). After you purchase the game, you will be asked to register your subscription. For obvious reasons, this fee will not be applicable until Motor City Online goes live.
It has deterred me from playing online, especially if there are only US servers. With the knowledge that you can play the game offline (if this is still a part of the game), there maybe a saving grace.
