EQ Chronicles

This was meant to be a pic of a massive Elven Ship I caught from the western edge of the continent of Antonica to the first stop in the Kunark expansion - the port town of Firiona Vie. I was so amazed by the size and design of the vessel, which is powered by a massive set of delicate wood and cellophanous wings that unfold to catch the wind, that I had to share it. The ship, called the Maidens Voyage, is at least ten times the size of the one that ferries between Butcherblock Mountains and Freeport (along the Ocean of Tears if you remember) and many times as fast.

However, as you can see, all I could get you was a piece of sky. Pretty isn’t it. I’m not quite sure why, and as soon as I’ve figured it out I’ll bring you that pic.

On a side, and slightly embarrassing note, I was so intent on running back and forth over the MV when I first got on it to see it all, that I actually fell off into the ocean (an easy thing to do for a Bard with his running song on). You can’t of course climb back on from the water, so after several tense moments fearing I would be left to drown or eaten by unknown water monsters (and probably not be able to recover my corpse at the bottom of the ocean - aaaaaaaah!), I managed to climb up onto the prow to avoid being left behind. I had to swim to land once we reached Firiona Vie and took 350 hit points of damage doing so for some reason, but lived to tell the tale. And that, as any EQer will tell you, matters most of all.
