Dungeon Siege Delay

Before I get into this, I just want to say that I’ve missed you all terribly - I hope you feel the same - and next time I decide to change my place of residence by a distance greater than 1000 kilometres, an awful lot of thought will accompany the process rather than just waking up one day and deciding to try somewhere else.

Now, amidst the excitement of the past week, Gas Powered Games’ RPG Dungeon Siege suffered a delay and the release date was pushed back into next year. I had to point this game out to Rob at E3 to convince him that everything didn’t “look like ass”, and it will likely be well worth the wait.

GPG CEO Chris Taylor made a large post to the Planet Dungeon Siege forums explaining the issues that affected the release, and why they’re not being more specific than “2002″. As I said above, the game will likely be quite special when it comes out, it’s definitely on my list to buy which says a lot as RPG’s put me to sleep most of the time. Check out the link for Chris’ post.

Oh, and as a side note, he has been confirmed as a speaker for this year’s AGDC.
