EA Nabs LOTR Movie Rights
Electronic Arts has acquired the rights to produce games based on the film version of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. It should be noted that this does not affect Sierra who hold the rights to create games based on Tolkien’s books, though hopefully it will encourage them to actually make a game based on the license rather than just stopping everyone else from doing so.
