Le Mans for PS2 in June

Ozisoft has announced that Le Mans 24 Hours for Playstation 2, published by Infogrames and developed locally by Infogrames Melbourne House, is due for release 19th June 2001.

This game recieved critical acclaim from within the industry, press and gamers alike when it was released on Dreamcast late last year. The guys at Melbourne House did a great job and it sounds like the PS2 version will rock. With Gran Turismo 3 out soon and Formula 1 2001 already on the shelves there is some serious driving action to be had for petrol head PS2 owners.

· 70 official cars of Le Mans 24 Hour race, 30 more than in the Dreamcast Version : GT (22 cars) and Prototypes (48 cars). Choose from Audi R8, Cadillac LMP, Panoz Spyder LMP, Courage C52, Toyota GT-One, Nissan R390 GT1, GTC Competition, Panoz Esperante GTR1, Lister Storm GTL, BMW V12 LMR, Nissan R391, Riley & Scott MKIII S2, Chrysler Viper GTS-R, Marcos, plus 4 bonus cars to discover
· Pit stop management with a team of mechanics to take care of fuel, tyre wear, repair and more. Fully animated drivers in all cars

LE MANS mode - participate in the legendary endurance race and compete against 23 other cars in a 24 hour race;
QUICK RACE - take part in single races; CHAMPIONSHIP – beat a selection of circuits for your shot at the number one place;
TIME TRIAL - improve your own records; MULTIPLAYER – go head to head with a friend
· 12 tracks available : Bugatti, Brno, Donington National, Donington Grand Prix, Catalunya National, Catalunya Grand Prix, Suzuka National, Suzuka Medium, Suzuka Grand Prix and the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours track, plus the new tracks of Road Atlanta (Petit Le Mans) and Road Atlanta Grand Prix. All the tracks are faithfully recreated from the real thing - scenery, decor, even the time to complete the track
· 24 competitors on the same track in the Le Mans mode; 4500 polygon cars; photo-realistic textures; random weather conditions - sun, rain, fog –graphical effects such as smoke and dust, sparks, backfires, shadows, sun glare car lights.
