Startopia Gold!
Mucky Foot’s Startopia, a space-station management game has gone gold and will be appearing on shelves over the next few weeks. I still haven’t gotten around to playing the demo all the way through so if any one has opinions they’d like to impart feel free.
GameSpot UK have also posted up an interview with the Startopia team. They talk about the inspiration for the different races, the initial idea for the game, what they’re most proud of and (as per usual) much more.
GSUK: How important is humour to the game?
Mike Diskett: Much of the game is inspired by sci-fi classics, from the straight-laced 2001 to the superb HHGTTG and the more modern classic Red Dwarf. Any game that has slug creatures that poo out valuable turdite gems can’t afford to take itself too seriously.
