Aussie Falcon for Gran Turismo 3!
One of the most anticipated racing games of all time, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, will soon be released for the Playstation 2.
Fans of the series may remember that in the original game car choices were categorized into country of manufacture. These same fans may also remember that in Gran Turismo 2, this cool feature was replaced by a strange city map interface. Well you’ll be happy to know that the original country of manufacture is making a triumphant return in Gran Turismo 3.
But that’s not all. One of the countries of manufacture that you can choose a car from will be Australia!

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has announced a very exciting development for Australian motor racing and gaming with the news that Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, due for release for PlayStation 2 in the winter of 2000, will feature the Australian Ford Tickford Racing Team Falcon. This announcement comes after months of negotiation between SCE Australia and Ford Tickford Racing and is a first for the successful Gran Turismo franchise.
Building upon the winning formula that made its successor’s such a hit, Gran Turismo 3: A-spec has been developed and produced by Polyphony Digital. Featuring vehicles from leading car manufactures, Gran Turismo 3: A-spec will include around 150 of the world’s best cars, each modelled with crystal clarity, including new and well-known models from Europe, Japan and the US, in addition to the Australian Ford Tickford Racing Team Falcon.

version of the game but globally.
