Freedom Force Interview

There have been a heap of these lately but I’ve read through it and even though it’s at Daily Radar, it is one of the better ones. They sit down with Ken Levine and before making with the interview, proceed to give him a pop quiz on super-hero trivia simply to prove his worth. Moving on, they discuss specific quantities of smack you can lay down on the surrounding city, the mod-ability of the final game, multiplayer features and much much more!

DR: Of course, the other big claim to fame in Freedom Force is that the whole world is destroyable. My reaction is “c’mon… we’ve heard that before.” Some games have promised that, but nothing has delivered… yet. Can we really go into a building and destroy the supporting wall and the building will collapse?

KL: [laughs] Well, you can’t go into the buildings in Freedom Force. One of the first things we thought about when we were making this game is “what’s the proper scale?” I think back to the Justice League or the Fantastic Four mixing it up, and they are picking up buses and hitting people through buildings. That’s the scale; you know they’re not running around living rooms knocking over lamps!
