Wireplay QGL Finals 2000 Registrations Are Go!

The night of nights for QGLers is coming up quickly, and registrations for the final event open tonight. Their Finals LAN (and I presume the final official LAN of 2000) is being held at the ANZ Stadium no less, on December 2 and 3, and it is going to be a humdinger. The QGL boys always put on a good show, and this looks like it is going to be their best so far:

With air conditioning and a grandstand type thing, enough room for heaps of people and just a five minute drive from the city on the freeway: its the
ideal location. Added to that, the fact that we can accomodate 300 people and it has heaps of parking, and there is a club to get stuff from next door, makes it one of the best places around (boy did we look at everything!)

… We will be running several other comps on the day, with details of these and prizes etc to be released over the next couple of days, these include:

• Counterstrike
• Starcraft
• Quake3 Duel

QTV: All Quake 3 matches during the day will be broadcast on QTV so if anybody that is in other states cant make it, they should tune in. We will also be running a Shoutcast server with Vic, who did an awesome job at BDI, running around and broadcasting interviews to the Internet.

IRC: We are currently trying to organise access to IRC for everyone at the event to talk to everyone online, this will be through Telstra’s IRC servers.

The lads have done extensive biographies on every player and team in the finals, and there is an exhaustive rules list to avoid any misunderstandings. Entrants should particularly note that players in a finals event may not enter other comps on the day, and noone may play in more than one finals team.
