PlayStation 2 Delayed
Sony has halved its intended release of PlayStation 2 consoles to North America by October 26 due to a component shortage. Only 500,000 consoles will be made available to the US instead of the initially announced 1 million. However the company has said it will meet its target of shipping 10 million units worldwide before the end of the fiscal year in March. What that means for Australia is anyone’s guess, but I think it’s safe to assume we will be getting half the number of consoles expected.
