Minimum Requirements to run the beta will be a Pentium II 266 or equivalent with 64MB RAM, a
3D Hardware Accelerator with full OpenGL support, and a DirectX compatible sound card. Jet Beta 1 will only run on Windows systems (9x, ME, or 2000), and you will need DirectX 7.0 or later, Visual C++ to view sample code , and IE 3.02 or later to view help files. The download will be approximately 10MB.
Auran CEO Greg Lane has also posted to encourage constructive criticism of the Beta:
I ask all of you to be forthright in your comments, both good and bad, and tell us what you think. But perhaps the most important point that I wanted to get across in the post is that we need constructive feedback. If you find something to your liking tell us and tell us why. If you don’t like something, equally don’t just say you don’t like it, but tell us why and importantly suggest a way we can improve it. This last point is of the utmost importance. The very reason we are putting out a Beta 1 release is to get your comments and suggestions as to how to improve the product. Please take the time to comment but also suggest ways we can improve. In this way you will get the product you’re after.
