Optus To Ditch High Bandwidth Satellites

Oz telecommunications company Optus is intending to sell off AUD$1 Billion worth of satellites it was going to use to deliver high bandwidth internet access throughout Australia and Asia. Any sale of the satellites will have to be approved by the Defence Department which shares the bandwidth. The sale is still in the early stages and it is unknown how it will affect current Optus cable clients, if at all.
