Fake CD-Key Email

Raven’s Rick Johnson has warned in his .plan of a fake email apparently from an Activision employee asking people to send in their Elite Force CD-Keys for authentication:

This email is completely FAKE. Raven is actually running the key authentication server for Elite Force, not GameSpy or Activision. It is extremely RARE that anyone would ever ask for your CD Key, so always verify where the reply email is going to (as it should be @RAVENSOFT.COM). Remember that
we DO NOT KNOW what key you may have gotten with the game, nor do we have access to any product registration information that might have your email address, so unless you approach us with an issue, we would never be contacting you in this manner.

Rick has repeated the fake email in his .plan and suggests everyone spam the address.
