iFeel Mouse Out Soon
Logitech’s force feedback iFeel MouseMan mouse goes on sale next month, providing textural mousing for the PC. The mouse contains a motor that relates a sense of texture to the hand guiding it. If the cursor passes over a tennis racket on the screen the mouse will simulate a series of bumps. If it passes over a piece of ice it will seem to glide temporarily. The possibilities for mouse driven games are exciting - imagine Diablo 2 with melee feedback through the mouse, or Q3A with movement/hit feedback! Now that has potential.
