Homeworld add-on August release
Australian software distributor Jack of all Games, has sent word that Homeworld add-on,Cataclysm will be available August 30. I played Sierra’s initial release of the game back in late ‘99 and I still count it as one of the most innovative titles of recent times. A true 3D space RTS, Homeworld was simply stunning visually, with awsome music and an epic feel that many games of the genre cannot capture. If you haven’t played the original Homeworld yet I recommend downloading the demo and having a look, you won’t regret it.
15 years after the events transpire in the original Homeworld we begin the Cataclysm saga. You open your journey by taking command of a sect - or Kirth - that was secured after the victory that brought you back to Hiigara at the conclusion of Homeworld. You will command a whole new class of ships, with new technologies and weaponry, such as mimic ships and multi-ion beam frigates at your disposal!
Cataclysm improves on the Homeworld interface by adding new features such as waypoints and sensor screen attack commands to add a new dimension to the revolutionary combat and gameplay pioneered in Homeworld
