The New Us!
You will notice our site has undergone another revision, and you will also notice the logo in the top right hand corner. I mentioned a while ago there were going to be some exciting changes at BigKid, and here they are. Through mutual interest in what each other was doing and after some discussion we have signed with IGN. IGN is one of the top 40 networks on the internet, and as far as we know we are the only Australian site to be honoured with an affiliation. While there were several groups interested, we chose IGN after they approached us because we were impressed with the way they did things. They are not arrogant businessmen. They are gamers themselves, and genuinely interested in gaming.
What it means for us is we now have access to a range of established and professional tools to help us build the site. What it doesn’t mean is that, beyond some minimal contractual requirements that we already fulfill in order to be here, anyone besides us has any control over what happens but us. We are still BigKid. Nothing has changed, and nothing that doesn’t help us provide better unbiased coverage of the gaming scene will change. You will also notice the banners on the site now. This is one of the things IGN brings to us, and will help us do what we do longer and better. Bruce has worked hard to make sure the site design copes with the new content. Let us know what you think.
So welcome to the next step, and thanks for your support so far. Australia is an exciting place to be where gaming is concerned, and we are happy to be a part of it.
