Overclockable Thunderbirds
Contrary to official reports to the contrary (that’s how confusing these things get on the web), some Athlon 2 (Thunderbird) CPUs will actually be overclockable. Hardware news site Tweak Town recently received word that some Thunderbirds will ship set to a specific frequency but will be mulitplier adjustable with special jumper settings. AMD overclockers disappointed last week by the news that the new chips would be mulitplier locked will be heartened by the new revelations.
