Apple Reprimands ATI

Today seems to be the day for airing industry spats. Apple have severely censored graphics card company ATI for preemptively leaking information about the Mac Cube before this week’s Macworld expo. ATI press information preceeding the expo apparently prematurely tipped Apple’s hand, providing confirmation of the Cube which Apple had been conceiling for a grand announcement. In what seems a petty retaliation Apple CEO Steve Jobs deleted all mention of ATI from his keynote speech, pulled a planned ATI demonstration of it’s new Radeon chipset, and ordered all Radeons off the showroom floor. Industry rumour suggests Apple may now be looking for another OEM video card partner.
