Power Mac G4 Cube Confirmed
The rumoured Mac Cube, a turbo charged G4 contained in an 8 inch square box, has been confirmed with a swanky new section on Apple’s website. The typically translucent Cube holds a 450MHz G4 processor with 64MB RAM, 1MB of backside level 2 cache, a 20GB Ultra ATA/66 hard disk drive, DVD, and a 16MB ATI RAGE 128 Pro. The small size of the box negates the need for a fan, making it “virtually silent”. It is also the first system to ship with an optical mouse. Very cool.
