GeForce 2 MX for A$279??

InsaneHardware have the scoop on pricing and Australian availability of Asus’ GeForce 2 MX Chipset card, the V7100. The card, due out at the end of July, comes for as low as $269 Australia (US$169) which is amazing considering other versions of the GeForce chipset start at around $500.

This time their next up and coming value range is exposed with the instatement of the nVidia GeForce2 MX Chipset providing excellent performance at a very reasonable price. As you may or may not be aware, Asus is renound for making excellent 3D Accelerators including their GeForce2 line with the V7xxx series.

Estimated Retail Price: A$319 (US$189) for V7100/T/32MB & V7100/DVI/32MB

Please note that the GeForce MX is not the same as a fully-blown GeForce2 GTS. Reviews on AnandTech and Tom’s Hardware rate them as comparable in speed to the original GeForce DDR cards - so good value nonetheless.
