Deus Ex Writer Q&A
Scriptwriter for Ion Storm’s Deus Ex Sheldon Pacotti broke his much deserved holiday recently to answer a few questions from us about his role in the game, the future of writing, and his belated addiction to Civilization.
When I played the E3 demo in 1999 — and saw the scope of real-world simulation, and read that the game would feature real cities like New York, Hong Kong, and Paris, I was trembling with excitement. Who knows how well I succeeded — but Deus Ex is a writer’s dream-game.
