India Gets Internet By Rail

Rural India could soon have access to the internet courtesy of the country’s railway system. Engineers in Delhi have proposed using communcations and control cabling from India’s extensive railway network as a conduit for internet traffic. Cyber cafes will be added along the track for use by locals without computers. No really, it’s true.
