Slot 1 FSB Deadzone Fix

This one’s for the technically minded overclocker, so if you’ve never attempted winding up a CPU to the point just before it melts down you might want to move along quietly to the next post. I don’t have to understand it because I can cut and paste. Contributors to the Overclockers Australia forum have posted an apparent fix to the Slot 1’s Front Side Bus (FSB) mid-range dead spot. According to the readers, strapping a small heatsink/fan combo onto the ICS clock-generator chip (near ram slot 4) fixes the problem. For more information surf over to the forum.
